Need some basic meeting planning training? Join me at the Missouri Meetings & Events 2011 St. Louis Regional Expo May 23-24, 2011. There is a great line up of colleagues presenting help for planners. I’ll be presenting two sessions.
Meeting Planner Basic Training will will highlight areas new planners should be aware of including, Timelines and Checklists, Budgets, Site Selection and Contract Negotiations, RFP’s, Program Development, Suppliers, Registration, On-Site Management and working with a Planning Company. After the session you will not be an expert, but will have a better idea of what may be required of you.
In another session, I’ll expand upon my recent blog series on event budgeting. Keys to Event Budgeting Success will help you learn how to take a simple, practical approach to developing, implementing and monitoring your meeting’s budget. It’s not as hard as you think, and a good budget, and budgeting process, will allow you to be proactive in addressing any financial challenges that may arise.
I hope you will “Meet me in St. Louis” next week and if you do, please stop by and say, “Hi!”
